Deeply European young French people who did not vote

Surveys show that young French voters did not participate in the poll. They perceive Europe as a space of liberty rather than as a political one and do not see why they would vote for something that apparently already exists while they, at the same time, are very demanding with respect to the EU institutions they find too weak and not much effective.
Other surveys from the French Politics Research Centre (Cevipof) say young French do not know how to translate their feelings as Europeans into engaged citizenship. However, non-participation is not a European election feature as, on average, 10% difference between the young and the average non-participation is observed.
