New Job Opening: Transeuropa Festival and Network Coordinator
European Alternatives is currently looking to fill a key position in the organisation, suitable for a motivated professional with a high degree of passion and flexibility.
Transeuropa is our yearly transnational festival, taking place in four European cities in 2010 and ten in 2011. Transeuropa Network is a new innovative participatory mechanism allowing for the creation of active local teams in all the cities touched by the Festival, which work together for the nine months leading up to the festival in coming up with innovative political and cultural proposals for Europe. We are looking for a Coordinator for the Festival and the Network.
The job involves responsibility for a large number of different tasks, including:
- Setting up and following-up of local teams in several European countries
- Fundraising for the festival and setting up of festival teams
- Overseeing the entire festival and a staff of at least 5 during festival-time
The job will be based in London and Rome and includes extensive, weekly European travel, and often work on weekends. It demands a great sense of initiative and ambition, and personal passion to contribute to setting up the first truly pan-European cultural and political organisation. Skill in languages an important asset, and flawless fluency in written and spoken English is a must.
Everybody at European Alternatives earns same pro-rata rate. Salary is around €1500 euros net a month.
