We believe in what we do and work on many parts of our work on a voluntary basis. Donations are key to taking forwards our work and making sure we truly make a change in Europe. European Alternatives is committed to budget transparency and publishes its annual budget every year to be approved by its members.
In order to increase the transparency and accountability of donations, we have devised two ways of donating:
- You can make a general donation, going to support our work overall
- or you can make a specif donation for a specific project you feel particularly strongly about
Here are the options! More projects are being added all the time.
Make a general donation
General donations go to help all the projects listed below, based on specific priorities.

Support the European Initiative on Media Pluralism
At a time when media freedom is coming under attack in a growing number of European countries, the European Initiative for Media Pluralism promotes the idea that European institutions should safeguard the right to independent information as sanctioned by the European Charter on Fundamental Rights. |
Support the Citizens Pact
Building up on the “People Power Participation” projects organised in 2011 and 2012, the Citizens Pact brings together a coalition of citizens and organisations joining in to advocate for concrete demands for the Europe they want to live in. From March to May 2013, EA and its partners will organise a series of participative consultations in Bulgaria, France, Italy, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Germany and the UK based on the “World Café” methodology. Citizens, civil society organisations and local authorities from all over Europe will elaborate during these consultations a shared set of demands for change in EU decision-making, gathered by the end of 2013 in the Citizens Manifesto, on topics ranging from employment and welfare to civil rights and economic and political reforms. |
