The first transnational festival in Europe
Transeuropa is at once a cultural festival and a political event. It is the first transnational Festival happening in 12 cities simultaneously promoting democracy, equality and culture beyond the nation.

Transeuropa creates a common political and cultural space for exchange, debate and action.
TOWARDS TRANSEUROPA FESTIVAL 2012!

The third edition of Transeuropa Festival will take place from the 9th to the 27th May 2012, involving 14 cities throughout Europe: London, Paris, Cluj-Napoca, Bologna, Berlin, Lublin, Warsaw, Barcelona, Prague, Bratislava, Sofia, Amsterdam, Belgrade, Rome.

Transeuropa Festival is the first transnational festival of culture, art and politics. It is not 14 different festivals happening at the same time, but one festival taking place throughout Europe.

Transeuropa Festival promotes alternative visions for a plural and inclusive Europe, for a society that promotes democracy and equality. Through an avant- garde programme and the participation of intellectuals, artists and curators, Transeuropa addresses a series of current key-issues, starting with the local priorities and needs that are reflected afterwards in a wider European framework.

In 2012 the Festival will approach the challenges of the crisis, will analyse the new forms of bottom-up democracy and the many facets of a multicultural society.

The Festival is coordinated by European Alternatives, and organised by a The Transeuropa Network, which comprise activists, curators, and artists from throughout the continent.
