The first London Festival of Europe was in March 2007. Over 10 days some of London's most prestigious venues were host to debates, lectures and film screenings covering a wide range of topics from the environment and the European social model to artistic relations between Europe and China. The Festival 2007 was opened by Zygmunt Bauman, and also featured a special event on March 25th to celebrate and debate the 50th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome. Over 1500 people attended the 2007 London Festival of Europe |
