The London Festival of Europe is an annual two-week series of events engaging with contemporary European politics, society and cultures. It promotes public discussion of European issues and celebrates
cultural exchange.

The London Festival of Europe 2008 follows the success of the first edition of the Festival in March 2007, which collaborated with the London School of Economics, Courtauld Institute of Art, the cultural institutes of France, Italy, Romania, and many other institutions.
 

The 2007 Festival featured over ten events and was attended by over 1,500 people.

The 2008 Festival will include a greater diversity of events, encompassing the arts, literature, music,
film and politics.

In addition to the program in London, several outreach events will be staged in Warsaw, Milan and Rome,
to add a trans-European aspect to the festival.

To promote maximum participation from a diverse audience, most of the events at the Festival will be free
to attend.
