European Initiative for Media Pluralism

Media pluralism

At a time when media freedom is coming under attack in a growing number of European countries, the European Initiative for Media Pluralism promotes the idea that European institutions should safeguard the right to independent information as sanctioned by the European Charter on Fundamental Rights.

The Initiative includes several conferences throughout Europe and in the European Parliament, the creation of a civil society European Media Council, and a campaign directed at the European institutions.
