European Alternatives: Democracy, equality, culture, beyond the nation state
European Alternatives is a unique organisation which campaigns and acts for the emergence of a transnational politics based on the values of democracy, equality and culture.
European Alternatives is neither a federal nor a national organisation, but a transeuropean organisation which acts in a democratic and transparent way to promote its values both within Europe and beyond.
European Alternatives is not only an NGO, it is at the same time and above all a movement of citizens and the emergence of a new political subjectivity. By joining you will be able to take part in TRANSEUROPA Network: a network of activists throughout the continent and beyond, working together to change the way we think of politics and to change our societies and cultures for the better.
ENGAGE / COLLABORATE

Take part in transnational meetings and activities of the organisation, with the chance to travel to meet other members.

Take part in the regular activities of your local group, or set one up with friends.

Participate throughout the year in organising Transeuropa Festival.

Collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds from around Europe and beyond on common projects and campaigns.

DECIDE / TAKE A STAND

Stand for election to one of the elected posts of European Alternatives and vote on who should fill these posts

Decide on what European Alternatives should be working and/or campaigning on through online voting

Open up your own personal space on the website of European Alternatives to tell others what you think about our activities, about politics, culture and society (coming September 2011...!)

Propose activities, projects and political campaigns to European Alternatives and its members

Become an activist member with a suggested donation of €5. This money goes to your local group to run local activities, and you will be able to decide how it is spent along with the other members of the group. European Alternatives is committed to budget transparency and publishes its annual budget every year to be approved by its members.
Membership starts from September and lasts one year
