European Alternatives is pleased to participate in the upcoming China-Europa Forum. We are using the occasion to attempt to build an informal transnational think tank bringing together Chinese and European intellectuals to reason on present and future challenges associated with global governance, the rise of East Asia, and a multipolar world order.

This seminar will discuss the 2020 strategy recently issued by the European Commission and the forthcoming EU budget, and assess the EU’s response to recession in Europe. A particular focus will be placed on implications for civil society and the ways in which civil society can enter into a productive dialogue on this issue with the European institutions.

On Saturday 19th of June at 18.00 a European Alternatives meeting will take place in Berlin. The new campaign Media Pluralism and Freedom of the Press will be presented by co-Director Lorenzo Marsili, followed by Lorenzo Fioramonti’s introduction on his paper Europe, Environment, and Social Justice.

Spazio 26cc and European Alternatives have organized a meeting titled “Segregation and exclusion in the cities” with the presence of the Ecuadorian artist Maria Rosa Jijon. The meeting will take place at the Spazio 26 cc (Via Castruccio Castracane 26, Rome) on the 12th of May at 7pm.
