Ségolène Pruvot Transeuropa Festival Director
Ségolène manages the activities of European Alternatives in France and coordinates Transeuropa Festival. She is interested in issues such as democracy in Europe, feminism and equality and urbanism. Ségolène actively participates to transnational activities and campaigns of European Alternatives and develops activities of the organisation in Paris, such as regular salons discussions and the TRANSEUROPA Festival. For European Alternatives she has developed and participated to projects on democracy (Transnational parties in Europe), on the twenty first century city (City 21) and on feminism (European Feminists Summits). Ségolène has studied political sciences and urban planning in France, Germany and the UK. She has previously worked in the field of urban planning and of European Affairs.

Federico Guerrieri Head of Programs
Federico is the Head of Programs of European Alternatives. After succesfully completing a BA in Political Science and European Institutions at the University of Parma, Federico moved to London where he obtained a Master of Arts in International Relations at the Hult International Business School. His interests include the functioning of the European Union, international politics, cinema and music.
Alessandro Valera Research Manager
Alessandro is managing research at European Alternatives, in particular the People, Power, Participation project. After studying in Italy, Canada and the UK to specialise in Politics and Communication at the London School of Economics, he worked for five years in London in different public sector research consultancies. Before joining European Alternatives, he worked for over two years for EdComs, specialising in research on education and other issues affecting young people. His interests include minority rights, primary, secondary and tertiary education as well as the fight against organised crime and corruption.
Daniel Peslari Regional Manager (Romania)
Daniel is currently a postgraduate student at Babes-Bolyai University (Romania) / Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Valée (France) and studies political science, international relations, global and European economy and culture. He is interested in the European democratic environment and common policies, international and transnational political and cultural dialogue and the construction of a better European Union. He organised the TRANSEUROPA Festival in May 2010, together with the local group from Cluj-Napoca, and some other events as a representant of European Alternatives in the Romanian city.
Diana Prisacariu Regional Manager (Romania)
Diana holds a BA degree in European Studies delivered by the “Babeş-Bolyai” University in Cluj, Romania. She is also an MBA student in International Communication and a dedicated BA student in History at the same university. Currently, she is studying History of Art at the Paris-Sorbonne University. She has been an activist for several years acting as a volunteer for local and international organizations, such as PATRIR (The Peace Action Training and Research Institute of Romania), TIFF (Transilvania International Film Festival) and CESPRI (the Center for European Studies and International Relations). Since 2009, she has been the coordinator of European Alternatives’ activities, including Transeuropa Festival, in Cluj. Her interests range from Central European medieval history, nationalism studies and contemporary geopolitics to hiking, cinematography and postmodern literature.
Emanuele Guidi Artistic Coordinator
Emanuele is a freelance curator based in Berlin. Among his recent projects and shows: Collective Body (group show curated with Aldo Giannotti, Vienna, 2010); City 21 (video screening, Belgrade and Zagreb, 2009); Ivan Moudov, Romanian Trick (solo show, Verona, 2009) and Vladimir Nikolic, Voice-Over (solo show, Bologna, 2009). In 2008 he edited the volume Urban Makers – Parallel Narratives of Grassroots Practices and Tensions (b_books, Berlin), commissioned by the Cities on the Edge programme (Liverpool).

Sara Saleri Regional Co-ordinator (Bologna)
Sara Saleri is applying the finishing touches to a PhD in Semiotics at the University of Bologna, focused on the negotiation of meanings in contemporary cities. After completing an undergraduate degree in Communications at the University of Bologna, she obtained a Master's degree in International Communication and Co-operation at the University Complutense of Madrid. Alongside her academic work, Sara collaborates with cultural associations, NGOs and magazines. Her primary areas of interest include the construction of social and cultural differences, conflict representations, gender studies, identity and memory dynamics.
